 Dear Bobby,
In 1998, I was a very fit 39-year-old woman who had been running 7 to 8 miles a day for more than six years. While traveling for work, I herniated discs in my lower back (L4/L5) and suddenly, I was totally out of commission as far as running was concerned. Treadmill Conditioning is used by any person interested in getting in shape, working out efficiently and losing weight.

There are 4 participants and myself.  You may follow any of the participants for the whole workout or switch between them to create your own routine. 

This workout starts off with a warm up and then you get into the meat of the program.  You are taken on a walk or run of your choice. I add hills, sprints and rests along the way to make sure you get the proper interval training for the most efficient workout possible.  In the workout I teach the class and regularly get off my treadmill to help the other participants, and you with pertinent instruction, motivation and cues to create the best workout environment to ensure you achieve your goals. 

The key to interval training is the proper work/rest ratio and knowing when to add resistance through speed or inclines and when to back off and let the body recover.  Treadmill Conditioning also has an added BONUS.  While the DVD is set to give you a full one hour workout I realize there are days when you just might not have the time to get in the whole hour.

As a trainer, I believe the best thing for anyone to do is remain active, and if you have not been active in a while, make any and all changes necessary to at least get started.  Sometimes getting started is the hardest part.  The baby boomer generation by definition is anyone born between the years 1946-1964.  Many of these adults were influential in starting the fitness craze in the late 80's and early 90's.  Another large contingency from that group are extremely physically fit, while others remain active but can't quite hit the road for running or get in the gym the way they used too.
